Summary of project scope

This project involved the development of the Maintenance Management Framework (MMF) at Kalagadi Manganese (Kalagadi) for the following areas : 

• Ore Processing (Ore Preparation Plant (OPP), Sinter Plant and Rail Yard);
• Underground mine and associated surface infrastructure;
• Services and Roads.

Elwatini’s responsibility involved preparing the Asset Management Framework to address Rail Yard and Road requirements on the mine. This included reviewing of the present maintenance approach and practices, reviewing a sample of active maintenance plans, reviewing maintenance execution, and preparing maintenance plans and work management processes.
