Summary of project scope

The project involved the investigation into the cause of the contaminated seepage water emanating from the Gautrain Rapid Rail Link (GRRL) embankment in Modderfontein between the Centenary Street Bridge and Viaduct 13.

Elwatini’s responsibility involved investigating a potential contribution of railway track surface water to the existing leachate of the GRRL embankment and provide a solution that complemented the proposed J&W remediation plan.
