Summary of project scope

ESKOM – Tutuka Power station, replacement of existing transformers Asceng-Thenga were been appointed to replace 20 transformers (TR units) with high frequency power supplies (HFPS), which were located on top of the ESP in the Tutuka Power Station. 

Elwatini was appointed by the JV to carry out structural engineering work. Our responsibility was to conduct the structural assessment of the crawl beam above the ESP platform, structural analysis of the steel structure and platform that will hold the new HFPS units, and the design of the new roofing/canopies to cover the new ESP units at units 4, 5 and 6 ( a total of 36 structural steel canopies).
